i took this for fibromyalgia for about 6 mths and it did help me, the only side affect i had was being tired in the morning and i didnt want to get up-i decided to stop taking it because of this-i thought that after awhile i would get abit immune to it and wouldnt be so tired but i didnt- i dont think we are supposed to just stop taking it abruptly but should taper off , but i did just stop taking it and felt nrevous for a week or so and then that went away . it does help you rest good because as you know the fibro keeps us from being able to sleep good.
i was on a low dosage of it just 10 mg but i still cut them in half so it 5 mg i was taking.
Now i have been taking magnesium 3 times the daily req amt and my fibro symptoms improved greatly within 3 mths.
i have been prescribed endep to help me sleep 10mg at night but that did not work so the doc upped it to 20 that did not work so now i am on 30mg. I am concerned about the drowsiness during the day and the bad breath due to the dry mouth. I have also heard it can make you put on weight too
Yes, I have. And it is helpful in producing a more normal sleep pattern. But the primary benefit is that it apparently raises the pain threshold so that the pain associated with fibromyalgia may be significantly decreased or largely eliminated. It is by no means a cure for it, nor productive of complete symptomatic relief however, in my experience.
