My son currently takes Depakote tablets. The pharmacy filled his prescription with Depakote sprinkle caplets in error. Since I didn’t realize the mistake until I got home w/the pills, I am wondering if I can use the sprinkle caplets.

I had this happen with Effexor SR… They gave me the Tablets and not the sprinkle caplets… I didn’t notice it for a few hours but once I took it back and told them the error they appologized profusley and replaced them with the right perscription…
EVEN IF the pills can be used the “Same” or are the same dose don’t take the chance…
Depakote is strong and for strong problems…

My daughter is 16. She’s been epileptic since she was 7. She’s been on the same dose of meds, depakote and tri-leptil, for at least 3 years. However, her mood this summer has gone from pretty happy and normal to angry, moody, and depressed. We are honestly worried she’s becoming sucidal. Please Help.
